WIND ENSEMBLE


GRAD POWWOW PERformance information


DATE: Thursday, June 6th

TIME: BUS is picking you all up at Maples at 4:15PM. Mr. Led will be there with you to do attendance and help out. The bus will bring you BACK to maples at 8:15PM. You'll get free food after you play.

LOCATION: Winnipeg Soccer Complex North, 770 Leila Ave

DRESS: all black, no high heels allowed on the fancy floor

INSTRUMENTS: euphoniums, tenor saxes, bari sax, french horns and tuba are being picked up by Cathy Horbas the morning of June 6th ... so just make sure they are labeled with your name on them and in the band or jazz room that day. Everything else goes on the bus. PERCUSSION - everything is coming from West K so you don't have to pack anything... please bring some mallets/sticks with you
I think thats all... please make sure you tell Ms McGowan if you can't go ASAP... but just go. Remember my musical responsibility speech.

Sectionals will be approximately 2 - 3 times per month, at lunch time.  A schedule will be made available and posted here on the website ASAP.  Section Leaders will be in charge of running the sectionals and reporting back to Plam.

The First Wind Ensemble Maples has ever had!!! We performed One Thousand Cranes by Robert Sheldon and Second Suite in F by Holst. We received 3-5 star ratings and took home a trophy that night :)

The first Wind Ensemble to perform in BANFF at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival. They played so emotionally (4 pieces: Ride by Hazo, Spoon River by Grainger, Florentiner March by Fucik and Satiric Dances by Dello Joio) and with beautiful musical sensitivity! #playforplam <3 <3
