We will work on and perform selections below for our performances this year. Not included in these videos is the SOPAC Premiere by Kenley Kristofferson. You will not find a recording of it because no one has ever performed it before!

Sectionals

Sectionals will be approximately 2 - 3 times per month, at lunch time.  A schedule will be made available and posted here on the website ASAP.  Section Leaders will be in charge of running the sectionals and reporting back to Plam.

Congrats to everyone on doing a great job of preparing for your Wind Ensemble Exams! I was honestly very impressed at the high quality of preparedness from every single group. GREAT JOB!! I’ve really enjoyed listening to each group practice and it was great to hear everyone more individually than usual.

If your name is on this list, I feel like you would benefit from a slower paced rehearsal, breaking down some notes, rhythms, articulations, tuning spots, pulse and especially fast runs in the upper registers of the band.  If your name is not on the list you are welcome and encouraged to attend the rehearsal, but I do feel like at this point you are slightly ahead of the people who are on this list (it doesn’t mean you’re perfect yet ;) – keep practicing for perfection)

The following people are required to come to the rehearsal on Thursday at 2:00

Flutes:

Jamie, Raella, Carylle, Larissa, Ruhani, Yancy

Oboe:

Melody

Clarinets:

Erika, Aira, Josh, Alanah, Riana, Nic, Kiara

Saxes:

Trumpets:

Will, Apollo, Rod, Sam
