All Jazz Band Students will head to Brandon, MB to be immersed in Jazz Music for 3 days. The festival will include a performance, a short post-performance clinic, instrument specific clinics, lots of watching jazz from other schools, a professional level concert, a movie at the theatre, and a group bowling party at the end of it all!
All Bands will perform at the semi-annual outdoor Arts Festival hosted by the 7Oaks School Division at Kildonan Park. Some performances will be during the day, and some in the evening. Exact performance times will be announced closer to the festival.

Each band will perform one time at the Classic 107 Concert Band Festival (formally known as the Optimist Band Festival). Grade 9 and Grade 10 Bands will perform during the day and miss 1/2 a day of classes, while the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will perform on an evening. Dates will be confirmed ASAP. All performances are at the RBC Convention Centre
The Wind Ensemble was asked to open for the Winnipeg Wind Ensemble! This is the first time a Maples Band has been asked to open for such a prestigious event. There will be a dress rehearsal on Saturday November 17, and the performance is at 3:00PM (call time will be earlier) on Sunday, November 18.
Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform as a guest ensemble at the opening concert of the Brandon University Symphonic Band 2008/2019 Concert Series. The day will also feature workshops with Dr. Wendy McCallum and an opportunity for select students to perform with the BU Band.
Grade 11 Concert Band, Grade 12 Concert Band, Wind Ensemble and Loganberry Jam will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform in the mountains of Banff! We are so excited for this trip together! It is a highlight of students time in the band program!
